Currency, Credit Card, Traveler’s Cheque

Major international credit cards and travelers cheques are accepted in major hotels and restaurants. It is recommended that delegates purchase some Indian Rupees after check-in at their hotel.

Visa Application

The Government of India will issue official invitation letter for participants to obtain visa smoothly. Participants are requested to apply for visa at the Indian Embassy/ High Commission well in time.

Participants from the countries (viz. Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives, Belarus, Denmark, Singapore, Hong Kong, Argentina, Vietnam, Paraguay, Mauritius, Germany (only diplomatic), Uruguay, Kazakhstan, Bangladesh (only diplomatic), Malaysia, Colombia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, Chile, Armenia (only diplomatic), Peru, Israel, Brazil, Guyana, Russia, Myanmar, Laos, Hungary, Tajikistan (only diplomatic), Republic of Korea, Venezuela, Mongolia and Mexico) traveling on diplomatic/official passports may not require visa, however it is strongly suggested to check the current regulation in force.

Medical and Overseas Travel Insurance

The Conference Secretariat will not take responsibility of medical or travel insurance for the participants. It is strongly recommended that participants make necessary arrangements for the insurance coverage.

Climate

November is the winter month in India. Temperature during this month is generally around 3° to 10° C at night and maximum about 15° to 20° C during the day.

Electric Supply

The standard electric supply in India is 220 volts A.C., 50 cycles, single phase for all domestic lighting. Most hotels also provide 110 volts electric point for use of electric shavers, hair dryers etc. If you are carrying a laptop/portable computer or other 110 volts equipment, it is advisable to check for bringing an adopter with it. You may check with us for any specific query in this regard.

Clothing

At the time of the conference, the weather in New Delhi will be cold. It is advisable to carry woolens.

Languages

English is commonly used in all business transactions. However, the main spoken language is Hindi. Official language of the conference will be English.

Please kindly inform the Conference Secretariat of your flight schedule as soon as it is confirmed.

Registration

Please fill in the registration form and send it to the Conference Secretariat by 30.09.2007

Accommodation

Participants who are being sponsored by the Conference Secretariat shall be provided accommodation at the Hotel Ashok or any other hotels in vicinity.

Lunch

Lunch during the conference period (7th – 8th November 2007, 2 days) will be provided.

Reception

All participants are welcome to the reception on the evening of 7th November 2007.

Time Zone

Republic of India is + 5.30 hours ahead of GMT.

Remarks

Please take your passport around with you wherever you are in India.

Event Manager
